 Symposium 2005

February 11, 2005 -- 

Top Skating Experts that have consulted with NHL teams, Olympic teams, and/or have published books & videos. Representatives from Europe, Canada, and the United States will present the most scientifically advanced analysis, training techniques and skating skill progressions relating to skating biomechanics, speed, agility and enhanced hockey performance. 

The topics include Skating Physics, Stride Biomechanics, Starting Techniques, Strength & Conditioning, Resistance Training, Power Training, Agility Skating, Over-Speed Training, Inline Biomechanics, Speed Skating, Plyometrics, Dryland Training, Physiology, and Acceleration Training. Each Presenter has been asked to prepare 30 minutes of theory relating to their topic and 30 minutes of practical application including skill progressions to accomplish the development of specific techniques. 

This Symposium is designed to equip the coach with the "Why to” and the “HOW TO” teach and develop skating for ice hockey. This Symposium includes an Exhibitors’ Show and a meet the speakers social featuring of the latest training equipment and products relating to skill development. Skating machines and skating training tools will be on display. Video analysis software and testing equipment. 

This Symposium is specifically designed for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Skating Instructors, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Trainers, Hockey & Coaching Directors. The USA Hockey Coaching Program has recognized this Symposium so that coaches can receive Level 3 Continuing Education credit or re-certification. Check with district coach-in-chief for specific requirements.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing and postmarked or faxed before or on February 20, 2005 will receive a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received after February 20, 2005 will receive a 50% refund, less a $25 processing fee.
Cancellations received after March 20, 2005 will not be refunded.
